Sprint 2 Project
Clicking on the following objects have special effects!
- Mug - Will change to a random color!
- Clock - Will stop the sun from moving!
- Cubes - Will gain points!
- Radio - Will turn on and play music!
- Gargoyle Statue - Will take flight!
There are a set of options at the bottom of the screen:
- A button to reset the screen.
- A dropbox to change the color of the light in the scene.
- A volume slider for the radio's music.
- A toggle to disable and enable sound effects.
I created a “point and click adventure” inspired program. You are presented with a 3D scene containing many different objects. Clicking on certain objects will produce special effects. After building the entirety of my project with 5 distinct point and click features, I realized that I used no UI elements and that they were mandatory for the project. I went back in and added in a toggle, dropdown, button, and slider, completely ballooning the scope of the project. I never wanted to do 9 features. There goes a great lesson in reading the fine print. Do not expect this much from Project 3.
You may notice that this project is a bit hefty on art assets. All of the unique 3D models (the table, the mug, the clock, the statue) were created in Blender by me back in January for a game jam. The radio is a complex pre-fab akin to the clock. The sound files, on the other hand, are all royalty-free assets taken from websites credited below.
